ii) The pressure inside the container helps the liquid to reach a higher temperature before it starts boiling. The higher temperature causes the food to cook quickly than when it is cooked in an open-mouthed container.
iii) the pressure has an additive effect and, from the above stated relationship, as pressure increases, the boiling point decreases. The boiling point decreases as the vapour pressure increases. The higher the air pressure, the harder it is for the liquid to evaporate.
