Ku Klux Klan was the American white supremacist group which favored the white people and were against the Africans and the black people. The reason why this klan got so popular was that they were not in favor of giving rights and opportunities to the black.
This was supported by most of the people in the country who belonged to the white community and they wanted the supremacy of the whites to come back to the country.
