Here we are given an expression 0.4 + 1.5 - 0.2 ×1.3

We have to simplify the expression

In order to simplify, we will use the BODMAS rule

0.4 + 1.5 - 0.2 × 1.3 =  0.4 + 1.5 - 0.26

                               = 1.9 - 0.26

                              = 1.64

Hence, on simplifying the expression the value comes out to be 1.64

  • As per the data given in the question, we have to determine the value of the given expression.

       Given data:- 0.4+1.5-0.2\times1.3.

To find:- the value of the given expression.

       Solution:-

  • Here, we will use BODMAS RULE.
  • BODMAS RULE:- It is a correct order to solve the mathematical expression.
  • Where, B stands for bracket
  • O stands for of
  • D stands for divide
  • M stands for multiplication
  • A stands for addition
  • S stands for subtraction.

     Therefore,

        =0.4+1.5-0.2\times1.3\\=0.4+1.5-0.26\\=1.9-0.26\\=1.64.

Hence, the value will be 1.64.
