Usually in poems , peacocks ,doves ,sparrows , nightingales ,etc are used .No ,crow is not often mentioned in poems as they are considered a bad omen and they are believed to be a symbol of doom,fear,gloom,death and are used for negative references .

When I think of a crow, I think of melancholy .I think of melancholy as the pitch black colour of the crow , reminds me of depressing images .
