Option(B) - 30%.

Given, In the 1st half the number of hits he had = 15.

In the second season the number of hits he had = 9.

                Total Number of hits = 15 + 9

                                                   = 24.

Total percent during the entire season = 24/80

                                                                 = 0.3

                                                                = 30%.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

30%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Duval went to bat 80 times during a baseball season. In the first half of the season he had 15 hits. In the second half of the season he had 9 hits.

To Find: Which percent of the time did Duval get a hit during the entire season?

Solution:

No. of hits in first half = 15

No. of hits in second half= 9

Total hits = 15+9 =24

Duval went to bat 80 times during a baseball season.

So,  Duval get a hit during the entire season = \frac{24}{80} \times 100

                                                                         = 30\%

Hence 30% of the time Duval get a hit during the entire season.
