E-11.
In which figure lateral displacement will be larger if a ray of light of same wavelength is incident on a
plane glass slab:

30°
45°

c) 60°

ExPlanation:-

First of all, lateral displacement is distance b/w incident ray and emergent ray. [Look at attachment please]

Now, this distance(Lateral displacement) depends upon, these factors—

  • Angle of incidence ↑ — Lateral displacement ↑
  • Refractive index of glass slab ↑ — Lateral displacement ↑
  • Thickness of glass slab ↑ — Lateral displacement ↑
  • Wavelength ↓ — Lateral displacement ↑

Just forget all the them rather than the first one, according to which with increase in angle of incidence, lateral displacement increases as well.

So,

From 30°,45°&60°, which will have the largest lateral displacement, ofc 60°. [for practically results, again attachment]
