i ) <CGH = <GHB [ alternate angles ]

y = 3x ----( 1 )

<EGC + <CGH = 180° [ Linear angles ]

2x + y = 180---( 2 )

2x + 3x = 180 [ from ( 1 ) ]

5x = 180

x = 180/5

x = 36°

Put x value in equation ( 1 ) , we get

y = 3 × 36 = 108°

ii ) <EGD = GHB [ Corresponding Angles ]

2x + 15 = 3x - 20

15 + 20 = 3x - 2x

35 = x

x = 35°

iii ) <DGH + <DHB = 180°

[ Sum of interior angles same side of the

transversal ]

4x - 23 + 3x = 180°

7x = 180 + 23

7x = 203°

x = 203/7

x = 29°
