Answer:

here's your solution

Sol: g = 10m/s² , time =1s , u = 0

By newton's first equation

v = u+at

v= 0 + (10×1)

v = 0 + 10

v = 10m/s

Now, By newton's second equation

s = ut + (½ at²)

s = (0×10) + (½ ×10×1)

s = 0 + (½ ×10)

s = 0 + 5

s = 5m

Ans. speed of ball = 10m/s . Height of table from ground = 5m

Answer:

10 m/s and 5 m

Explanation:

According to the given question,

u = initial velocity = 0 m/s

t = time = 1s

g = gravity acceleration = 10 m/s^2

v = final velocity and s = displacement

And we are asked to find speed on reaching the ground and height.

Here, displacement is equal to height of the table as it's linear motion without changing it's direction. And velocity is equal to speed as direction is not changing only magnitude is changing because of free fall.

We know,

  • v = u+at

Putting the values we get,

  • v = 0+10×1

  • v = 10 m/s

Again,

  • s = ut+1/2 at^2

  • s = 0+1/2 × 10 × 1

  • s = 5 m

Thus speed is 10 m/s and height is 5 m.
