Let the number of Rs.10 note be x.

and the number of Rs.20 note be y.

Given Situation

  • Total number of notes is 50.

~~~\implies ~~~ \sf x+y=50
~~~\implies ~~~ \sf x=50 - y

Aslo

  • Total amount of money in the bundle is Rs. 600.

 \sf~~~\implies~~~10x+20y=600

 \sf~~~\implies~~~x+2y=60

  • Putting the value of X

 \sf~~~\implies~~~50-y+2y=60

 \sf~~~\implies~~~y=60-50

 \sf~~~\implies~~~y=10

Putting the value of y in x=50-y

~~~\implies ~~~ \sf x=50 - 10
~~~\implies ~~~ \sf x=40 \\  \\

  • The number of notes of Rs. 10 and Rs. 20 in the bundle are 40 and 10 respectively.

Answer:

Solution

Let the number of Rs,10 notes be x.

Let the number of Rs. 20 notes be y.

Given Situation

  • The total number of notes is 50.

x + y = 50

x = 50 - y

Also

  • The total amount of money in the bundle is Rs. 600.

10x + 20y = 600

x + 2y = 60.

  • Putting the value of x

50 - y + 2y = 60

y = 60 - 50

y = 10

Putting the value of y in x = 50 - y

x = 50 - 10

x = 40

  • The number of notes of Rs.10 and Rs.20 in the bundle are 40 and 10.
