Solution :-

A cylindrical rod of mass 462 g

Here, Density of the rod = 5g/cm^-3

Now,

As we know that,

Density = Mass / Volume

Let the volume be x

Put the required values,

5 = 462 / x

5x = 462

x = 462/5 = 92.4cm^3

Thus the volume of the cylinder rod is 92.4cm^3

Now,

Radius of the rod = 1.4cm

Let the height of the rod be h

As we know that ,

Volume of cylinder = πr^2h

Put the required values,

92.4 = 22/7 * 1.4 * 1.4 * h

92.4 = 22 * 0.2 * 1.4 * h

92.4 = 6.16 * h

h = 92.4/6.16

h = 15cm

Hence, The height of the cylindrical rod is 15cm .
