(1.) EQ = 1.28 - 0.18 = 1.10 cm

Now,

PE / EQ = 0.18/1.1

FR = 2.56- 0.36 = 2.20 cm

here also,

PF/ FR = 0.36/2.2 = 0.18/1.1

We can say that,

PE/EQ = PF / FR

Thus by converse of BPT,

EF // QR.

(2.) PE/EQ = 4/4.5

PF/FR = 8/9

Since, PE/EQ is not equal to PF/FR

Thus,

EF is not parallel to QR.
