E and f can separately do a piece of work in 40 and 30 days respectively. They worked together for 12 days, after which f was replaced by g, if the works was finished in next 8 days, then the number of days in which g alone could do the work will be.

So E&G together can complete the work in 80/3 days.

E&G can together complete work in 1 day is 1/40 + 1/G = 3/80

=> 1/G = 3/80 - 1/40 = 1/80 days.

G alone can do the work in 80 days.
