In addition to hunting and gathering, man learned to tame animals so that they would be near when he needed meat. Man learned to tame such animals as sheep, goats, pigs, and cattle.
2. People of the Neolithic age were animists. They believed that all the elements of the natural world, like animals, forests, mountains, rivers, and stones, had self-consciousness.
