1. we can call the uprising of 1857 the first war of Indian Independence because for the first time people stood against the British rule. it was for the first time people felt a sense of belonging to work their own country and felt a sense of national consciousness.

2. the religious reforms were represent and opposed by Indians as they felt it a direct attacked and interference in their religious matters. the Indian society was ridden with the Evil customs like Sati etc.. for which Britishers passed certain laws to curb those evils Like Sati

3. there was a wide impact on the people of the whole country and its ruling families after Bahadur Shah Zafar support to the rebellion. is where he wrote letters to all the chiefs and rulers of the country to come forward and organised or confederacy of Indian states to fight with Britishers.

I) the British had modern weapons and enormous resource but Indian select it .

II) Indian were poorly organised and not well coordinated.

III) the major cause for the failure was the disUnity among Indian rulers .

IV) British army was well equipped bind and well efficient but Indian Army was not .

5. the most significant results of the uprising of 1857 was the end of the rule of the East India company and assumption of the Government of India directly by the Crown. This was done by the government of India Act of 1858 .
