1:-The implementation of the law banning Sati became difficult for the British because the practice was been continued in India since many years and had become a kind of permanent law of the Indian society.

2:-In spite of the efforts of the government why is this evil still practiced in some parts of the country? The evil practise of child marriage became prevalent because of the conservatism,ignorance and the old age custom following of such practises .

3:-Britishers achieved substantial progress in eliminating inequalities between men and women. In 1829 sati was banned by the Britishers. Ishwar chandra Vidyasagar suggestion was adopted by British officials and they passed a law in 1856 permitting widow remarriage. ... In 1929 widow remarriage act was passed.

4:-Laws banning sati, legalizing widow remarriage aimed at improving their position. b. Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar got a law passed in 1856 permitting widow remarriage.

5:-Despite all the reforms for improving the condition of women in the society still the condition of women was not improved overall in the 19th century as their were some orthodox people who were not ready to accept these changes.
