For fixation of 6 molecules of CO2 and formation of one molecule of glucose in Calvin cycle requires 18 ATP and 12 NADPH molecules.

● For fixation of 1 carbon dioxide molecule the number of of adenosine triphosphate required will be 3.

● For the fixation of of one carbon dioxide molecule the number of molecules NADPH required will be 2.

● So, for fixation of 6 molecules of carbon dioxide multiply each by 6.

Then the net consumption will be

Net ATP = 3 × 6 = 18

Net NADPH = 2 × 6 = 12
