the fact that it is used by plants does not make it good. carbon dioxide is harmful as it absorbs heat and traps the heat and earth hence increasing the temperature. it is constantly produced by all the humans and animals, hence it is infinitely produced and, if it is excessively produced, more heat will be trapped and hence is harmful in excess amounts
