Answer:

Explanation:

(1). Polythene bags should not be thrown along with garbage as they are non-biodegradable and can mix with the soil but cannot decompose. These, when eaten by animals like cows can choke them leading to death. Also as they do not decompose they can mix with the soil leading to soil pollution.

(2). We wear cotton clothes during summer as cotton absorbs sweat from the body, exposing it to the atmosphere for easy evaporation. ... Cotton allows better air circulation which helps to absorb and removing body moisture caused by sweat via evaporation.

(3). Wearing synthetic garments should be avoided in the kitchen because synthetic clothes catch fire easily and while burning they melt and stick to your body which will cause severe burns to the person wearing them. Synthetic garments can catch fire very easily.

(4). The handles of pressure cookers are made of plastic as they are bad insulators of heat. The handles are made of Bakelite, which is a thermosetting plastic. It has heat-resistant properties and is also an electrical insulator. If a metal handle was used, it would become red-hot as metals are good conductors of heat.

(5). Biodegradable and non-biodegradable wastes should be discarded in two different dustbins so that they can be collected separately. Non-biodegradable wastes can be sent for recycling. If the two wastes are collected in a single bin, they would mix and may form toxic compounds which can cause pollution.
