1. The distribution of salinity in oceans is as follows: Ocean water is saline due to the presence of a large amount of dissolved salts, mostly sodium chloride or common salt. ... In general, salinity decreases towards the equator due to heavy rainfall. The dead sea in Asia has the highest salinity.

2.Ocean currents influence the temperature of the region they travel through. Warm currents increase the temperature of the coasts along which they move. Sea breezes that blow over warm currents get warmed in turn and absorb moisture. Then they carry the warmth and moisture to neighboring coastal areas.

3. North Equatorial Current (Warm)

   South Equatorial Current (Warm)

  Counter Equatorial Current (Warm)

  Kuroshio System (Warm)

  North Pacific Drift (Warm)

  Oyashio Current (Cold)

  California Current (Cold)

  Peruvian or Humboldt Current (Cold)

4.In the coastal areas, a tsunami may appear as huge wall of water coming towards the coast. With its tremendous energy, the fast moving waves can crush houses and other structures in the coastal areas. Most of the deaths caused by a tsunami are due to drowning
