Explanation:
Myopia is the defect in which the image is formed in front of the retina.
Two reasons for Myopia or short-sightedness:
1, Eyeball is too long in comparison to the focusing power of the cornea.
2. If the cornea is too curved relative to the eyeball.
This defect and be corrected by using a concave lens of a suitable focal length.
