Introduction

Due to the rapid evolution of the internet and digitalization, Governments around the world are boarding on steps to integrate IT into all government processes. This is the idea of e-government. This was done to certify that the Government. E-governance becomes the profligate and most transparent process as intended by the Government of India under the National Electronic Governance System. It also helps to save big costs.

E-Governance can be defined as the use of communication technologies and information in the establishment of government amenities, information exchange, transactions, integration of standing services and information.

Benefits of E-governance

  • Speed: Technology speeds up communication. Internet, smartphones permit quicker data transfer worldwide.
  • Cost Saving: Many Government expenses go towards the cost of obtaining stationery for official purposes. Books and written records consume a lot of writing material. However, replacing it with smartphones and the Internet can save millions of dollars each year.
  • Transparency: The practice of electronic governance helps to make all business transactions transparent. All government information can be uploaded online. Citizens have special access to whatever information they need, whenever they need it, wherever it is taken.

However, for this to be an effort Government must ensure that all information is disclosed and included in government information online.

  • Accountability: Public Relationship Accountability. Once government services are available, we can hold them accountable for their services.
