E- governance as an effective tool to curb corruption

The main idea behind the introduction of E- governance was to bring in transparency into the administration of Government schemes. The ordinary citizen can find out about the schemes available to the masses, the progress of existing projects, voice their opinions and raise objections. Concerned Government departments have to constantly update information and keep the people informed through the portals.
As everything comes into the public domain, corruption is curbed in a big way. Without fear or favour, people can lodge complaints against errant departments or officials.
