See bro stomata has 2 guard cells which swell when water flows into them causing the stomatal pore to open and the hair cells shrink when water flows out of them causing the stomata pore to close now desert plants there is excess of water loss during the day by transpiration through the stomata so closing the stomata helps as stomata closes the water cannot flow out of plant helping the plant I hope this helps and don’t forget to Mark my answer as brainliest
