so, t-1 = 0
or, t = 1
putting the value of t if p(t) & q(t) we get,
p(1) = 4-s+7 = 11-s
q(1) = 1+s+8 = 9+s
Now the remainder are equal. So,
11-s = 9+s
or, 2 = 2s
or, s = 1.
