Given : angle  (i) 70°  &    (i) 100°

To find : complementary angles of  70°  & supplementary angles of  100°  &

Solution:

complementary angles - which adds upto 90°   ( right angle)

Let say complementary angle  of 70° = a

Then 70° + a = 90°

=> a = 90° - 70°

=> a = 20°

20°  is the  complementary angle of  70°

supplementary  angles - which adds upto 180°   ( form linear pair )

Let say supplementary angle  of 100° = b

Then 100° + b = 180°

=> b= 180° - 100°

=> b = 80°

80°  is the  supplementary angle  of 100°

90° + 90° = 180°

90° form linear pair with 90°
