Given that :

  • Diagonal of square is 14cm

To Find :

  • What is the area of square ?

Let us assume :

Side of square = S

Calculation begin :

Using Pythagoras Property

→ 14² = S² + S²

→ 196 = 2S²

→ S² = 196/2

→ S² = 98

→ S = √(98)

→ S = √(2×7×7)

→ S = 7√2

Therefore , side = 7√2 cm

We know that ,

=> Area of square = (Side)²

=> Area of square = (7√2)²

=> Area of square = (49 × 2)cm²

=> Area of square = 98 cm²

Option (c) 98cm² is correct answer
