Let side be x,

By Pythagoras theorem,

x² +x² =14²

2x² = 196

x² =196/2

x² = 98 ----1equation


Now,


Area of square =side²

Here,

Side =x

Area of square =x²

Area of square =96cm² (from 1equation)
