Surface area of cube = 6a²= 6x²

If each edge of cube is increased 50% ,thén new edge =x+50% of x = 1.5x

Surface area of cube = 6a²=6(1.5x)²=13.5x²

Area increases = 13.5x²-6x²=7.5x²
