Probability sums are easy-peasy so

No of vowels in the word=5
No of letters in the word=12
so answer is 5/12

The ‘probability’ that you pick a vowel is \bold{\frac{5}{12}}.

Solution:

Firstly, let’s determined the ‘number of letters’ in the word “Mathematical".

The number of letters are = 12.

We know that vowels are “a, e, i, o, u”. Hence, total there are only 5 vowels in 26 alphabets. In the given word "Mathematical", there are ‘5 vowels’ out of total 12 letters.

Thus, the probability to get vowels

= Number of vowels / Total number of letters

= Total possible outcomes / Total number of outcomes

=\frac{5}{12}.
