Let height of the triangle be x

Therefore,length of one of the equal sides is x+4

Area of triangle =1/2 × base × height

=1/2×24× x

=12x

perimeter = x+4 + x+4 + 24

=2x+8+24

=2x +32

Answer:

perimeter 64cm

area 240 sq. cm

Step-by-step explanation:

  • let the height be x
  • equal sides = x+4
  • base =24/2=12
  • according to pythagorus triplet
  • (x+4)*2 =X×X+ 12×12
  • X×X+8X+16=X×X+144
  • 8X=144-16
  • X=128/8
  • X=16
  • SO, Equal sides are 16+4=20
  • Perimeter=20+20+24=64cm

area=1/2×24×20=240 sq.cm
