Answer:

72⁰, 72⁰ and 36⁰

Step-by-step explanation:

let 3rd angle be x

second and first angle be 2x

2x + 2x + x = 180⁰

5x = 180⁰

x = 180/5 = 36⁰

first and second angle is same and its angle is 2x = 2×36 = 72

so, third angle is 36⁰

72 + 72 + 36 = 180⁰

the angles of the triangle are 72⁰, 72⁰ and 36⁰

To Find:-

  • The measure of each angle

Given:-

  • The two angles of an isosceles triangle is twice the third angle

Solution:-

Let the triangle be ABC

We know that a triangle measures 180°

So,

Let the two equal angles be 2x and 2x respectively, and let the third angle be x.

According the question,

⟹ 2x + 2x + x = 180°

⟹ 4x + x = 180°

⟹ 5x = 180°

⟹ x = 180/5

⟹ x = 36°

  • The measure of the angles are:-

⟹ 2x = 2 × 36° = 72°

⟹ 2x = 2 × 26° = 72°

⟹ x = 36°

Now, Verification

⟹ 72° + 72° + 36° = 180°

⟹ 144° + 36° = 180°

⟹ 180° = 180°

L.H.S = R.H.S

Hence, Proved.
