Each of the two equal sides of an isosceles triangle is 1 cm less than the third. If it's perimeter is 17cm, find the sides of the triangle.

first side = x
second side = x-1
third side = x-1
perimeter = x+(x-1)+(x-1)
17 = 3x-2
19 = 3x
19/3 = x
19/3-1 = x-1
16/3
