each of the two sides of an isosceles triangle is 1 centimetre less than the third if its perimeter is 16 cm find the sides of the triangle

Let the sides be x, x-1 and x-1
Given,
x + (x-1) + (x-1) = 16
or, x+x+x - 2 = 16
or, 3x = 16+2
or, 3x = 18
or, x = 6
So the sides are 6cm, 5cm and 5cm.
