Given :- Each person at a picnic chose at least one piece of fruit.One third of the people chose an apple. Three- quarters of the people chose an orange.

Solution :-

→ People who chose an apple = 1/3

and,

→ People who chose an orange = 3/4

so,

→ People who chose both fruits are = 1 - (1/3 + 3/4) = 1 - (4 + 9)/12 = 1 - (13/12) = (12 - 13)/12 = (-1/12)

since , number of people who chose both fruits is a negative fraction .

therefore, we can conclude that, given data in question is not correct . please check your question again .
