Step-by-step explanation:

ab +bc+cd +da+bd =360

40+35+48+29+29=360

181=360

360-181

In Δ ABD

= ¹ x base x height.

2

= ¹ x 29 x 40

2

= 29 x 20

= 580 cm^2 Ans..

In Δ BDC, a = 29 cm , b = 35 cm , c = 48 cm.

s = 1 x a + b + c

2

s = 1 x 29 + 35 + 48

2

s = 1 x 112

2

s = 56.

Area = √s (s-a) (s-b) (s-c)

= √ 56 ( 56-29) (56- 35) (56-48)

= √ 56 x 27 x 21 x 8

= √ 28 x 2 x 9 x 3 x 7 x 3 x 4 x 2

= 2 x 3√ 28 x 9 x 7x 4

= 6 √14 x 2 x 3 x 3 x 7 x 2 x 2

= 6 x 2 x 3 √14 x 2 x 7

= 36 √ 7 x 2 x 2 x 7

= 36 x 7 x 2

= 504 cm^2

Adding both areas

= Area Δ ABD + Area ΔBDC

= 580 + 504

= 1084 cm ^ 2

Hope it helps......
