then perimeter = 2*(l+b)
now if both length & breadth is doubled then new perimeter will be
= 2*(2l+2b) = 2*2*(l+b)
if we take ratio of original & new perimeter, we get
{2*(l+b)}/2*{2*(l+b)} = 1/2
