Answer :

The side of the square is 7.25cm

Explanation :

The perimeter of a triangle is equal to that of a square.

Find the side of the square.

Given,

Perimeter of the triangle is equal to that of square.

Or,

→ 3 × each side of the triangle = 4 × side of the square

Here,

  • each side of the triangle is 10cm.

→ 3 × 10 = 4 × side

→ 30 = 4 × side

→ 30/4 = side

→ side = 7.25cm

The side of the square is 7.25cm

Question :

each side of an equilateral triangle is 10cm. if it's perimeter is equal to the perimeter of a square, find the side of the square.

Formula used :

perimeter Of triangle = 3a

Perimeter of square = 4a

Where a = side of triangle and the square

Solution :

Perimeter of triangle = 3a

= 3×10

= 30 cm

But the perimeter of square is equal to perimeter of triangle

So,

30/4= a

7.25 cm = a

So , side of square = 7.25 cm
