each side of an equilateral triangle(a)

= 2x cm , given

x√3 = 48

x = 48/√3

x = 48 / √3 × √3 / √3

x = 48 √3 / 3

x = 16√3

now each sides of equilateral triangle

= 2x = 2 × 16√3 =32√3 cm = a

area of equilateral triangle = √3 /4 a^2

= √3 /4 ( 32√3 )^2

= √3 /4 × 1024 × 3

= 768√3 cm^2

therefore, area of equilateral

triangle=768√3cm^2
