Given :

  • Side of Square field = 4 2/3

To find :

  • Area of the field

Solution :

  • In this question, we are asked to find the area of the Square field.
  • So, before finding the Area of the Square field, we have to first convert the side which is given in a mixed fraction to an improper fraction.

Now, converting mixed fraction to an improper fraction.

\sf  4 \dfrac{2}{3} =  \dfrac{4 \times 3 + 2}{3}

     \sf   =  \dfrac{12 + 2}{3}

     \sf   =  \dfrac{14}{3}

  • Next, we have to use the Area of Square formula to find the Area,

\sf \rightarrow Area \: of \: Square = s \times s

                          \sf = \dfrac{14}{3} \times \dfrac{14}{3}

                          \sf = \dfrac{14 \times 14 }{3 \times 3}

                          \sf = \dfrac{196}{9}

Therefore, the Area of the Square is 196/9 cm².
