We know that every student is using 4 stencils and 6 colored pencils.

The number of colored pencils used by the class is 27.

Stencils =?

Now, one student stencils / one student colored pancil = class stencils / class pancil

If 6 = 27 ( 4.5 times 6)

Therefore, 4 = ( 4.5 times 4)

= 4×4.5

= 18
