Step-by-step explanation:

Step-by-step explanation: Let the no. of

boys be x and no. of girls be 50-x. Total money contributed by boys=

x*40=40x

Total money contributed by girls (50-x)*50=2500-50x

According to the question,

40x + (2500 - 50x) = 220

→ 40x + 2500 - 50x = 2220

→40x 2500 = 2220 + 50x

⇒ 2500 - 220 = 50x - 40x

⇒ 280=10x

→ 280/10=x

= 28

No. of boys = 28

No. of girls=50-28=22

Data given :

Contribution of each student = ₹40

Contribution of class teacher =  ₹100

Total number of students = n

We have to find the total contribution by the teacher and the class.

As one student has a contribution of ₹40

Then, contribution by all the students will be =  n\times 40

                                                                           = 40n

Therefore, total contribution = Contribution of class teacher + contribution by all the students

                Total  contribution = 100 + 40 n
