Earlier different dynasty like the Mughals, the Khilji ruled India and oppressed us, but then a sense of nationalism didn't arose. But when Britishers colonized us, a sense of nationalism arose. Both of them were foreign invaders then what is the difference between the two? ​

Mughals and Khalji oppressed, but to some extent. We all know how good Akbar was. But British were draining our wealth to their country. They were exploiting us. Akbar used his money and power wisely. He had no discrimination between Hindus and Muslims. But British were exploiting the religions in job and financial matters too.. They introduced education in India, but for their profit. They also introduced Doctrine of Lapse which was unfair..
