earlier people used part of the body to measure length why is this not an accurate way of making measurements

Every body is a different size. You grow from time to time. It cant be universal
Explanation:
Every body is a different shape and size so one persons measurement wont be equal to another. For example somebody's arm could be 30cm and another 40cm so they would get different measurements and answers. Another factor is growth. One year you may measure something to be 40cm but when you come back and measure it the next year it may still be an arms length but your arm has grown so it wont be as accurate
