Explanation:

A year and a half into the COVID-19 pandemic, women in corporate America are even more burned out than they were last year—and increasingly more so than men. Despite this, women leaders are stepping up to support employee well-being and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, but that work is not getting recognized.

The above statement is an example of gender discrimination.

1. Women empowerment and emancipation of women are recent phenomena.  Earlier women were set back by various social misconceptions and social shackles.

2. Social evils existed like Sati and child marriage. Female feticides were destroyed. Families always expected the birth of a boy child. Women were highly disregarded. They help no respected position in society and family. Education was only meant for the boys. Females were not supposed to share their opinions and were not allowed to talk about financial matters. They managed all the household chores and men used to earn the daily bread of the family.

3. In today's world, gender discrimination still exists and our society still holds space for development. Women and men are still discriminated against on various issues. Boys face discriminating situations as well. The condition is not confined only among women. Boys are questioned about their capabilities when they are unable to find a job and women are questioned when they return at a late hour.

4. Everyone should be treated equally and fairly. Every person has a unique personality and holds a unique capability.
