Earth and moon both have gravity so why dosent the get smash into one another​

The moon is held by the force of gravity between it and the earth (both have gravitational forces created due to having mass). It doesn't smash into the earth because it is orbiting the earth due to its inertia (which a moving mass has as a force) and the resulting centripetal force from that orbit exactly counters the gravitational force.
