Answer:

travel by bus everyday to college and it takes 40 minutes to 1 hour to reach, depending on the traffic. Getting window seat is like an accomplishment, especially during peak hours. Once you get your seat, and start listening to some good melodies, the journey takes you to a different level.

Your thoughts begin to travel places in seconds, from past to future (Time travel eh? May be), recollecting memories which makes you cry and smile at the same time. You might feel nostalgic about your childhood. You get deep philosophical thoughts like “Why am I here? What is my goal in life? What am I going to do for my parents and society?” and things like that. Or you may even start dreaming your future with your crush, have some dance sequences in mind to the tunes playing in heart. Varied thoughts, just because of one window seat. What is so special about it?

If you ask me, I feel that these are the reasons:

Looking out of the window, seeing the trees, the vehicles, the birds and things from everyday life. We tend to notice little things which we don’t usually do. That results in popping of thoughts from life, which we had ignored before.

The calmness we discover in ourselves in the midst of chaos around. I think it is possible only with window seat. The bliss of solitude which makes us discover deep thoughts, speak to oneself, admire things around.

The breeze that comes in contact with our face, making the travel, magical.

The Nature Connect- especially when it rains. Just wow.

Our mind is relaxed and we find inner peace.

We have no other work to do, and we don’t want to be idle. And so, we start travelling to parallel universe.

Sometimes I think a lot, get myself caught in the parallel universe that I find it difficult to return back to reality. I have missed my stop many a times with the bus conductor shouting at me :( That’s when I realize that I have been dreaming. So yeah, window seats and life are well connected.
