Eassy in vanishing wildlife
Answers
Answer:
Wildlife refers to the wild animals, birds, and plants that thrive in the wild. India represents only 2% of the world’s total surface area, but more than 7.5% of animal species are known to live in India, i.e. almost 92,037 species known to date, including 61,375 insect species. It is estimated that there are about twice as many species left in India alone.
The wildlife ecosystem is self-sufficient to meet the needs of others when it is continuously functioning. They are connected by a natural food chain and there is enough biodiversity to guarantee the survival of all flora and fauna. However, as there have been many disruptions to human life in recent years, animals in the wild are under threat. The destruction of natural habitats, the degradation of ecosystems by pollution, the overexploitation of biological resources and the disruption of ecosystem dynamics by climate change are just some of the causes.
The main causes are more or less due to human activities. It was only during the colonial regime that wild animals were mercilessly hunted to show courage. Also in the past, the kings of India have hunted for their hobbies. The population of tigers and lions in India only decreased during this period.
It’s been a long time since there’s been a conscious attempt to preserve these resources. The three most important laws enacted in India are the Indian Forest Act (1927), the Wildlife Protection Act (1972), and the Forest Conservation Act (1980). The purpose of the Wildlife Act is to protect wildlife, birds, and plants, and its main purpose is to protect, reproduce or develop wildlife or the environment through national parks, nature reserves, etc. The law also provides for the establishment of a national park, a nature reserve, or a nature reserve.
