Water is among the most precious gifts from God to us on this earth. We have an abundance of water on earth, but the percentage of drinkable water on earth is very low. About 71% of the earth surface is covered by water. But only 0.3% of those water is usable. Thus there is a necessity to save water on earth. Besides oxygen life exists on earth because of the presence of usable water on earth. So water is also known as ‘life’. On earth, we find water everywhere in seas, oceans, rivers, lakes, ponds etc. But we need pure or germs free water to use.
Life is impossible on this planet without water. We drink water to quench our thirst. Plant use it to grow, animals also drink water to survive on earth. We, human beings need water from morning to night in our daily activities. We use water to bath, clean our clothes, cook our foods, gardening, growing crops and many other activities. Moreover, we use water to generate hydroelectricity. Water is also used in different industries. All the machine need water to remain cool and to function properly as well. Even wild animals roam in the jungle in search of the waterhole to quench their thirst. So there is a need for saving water for our survival on this blue planet. But unfortunately, people are seen ignoring this. In some parts of our country getting usable water is still a challenging task. But in some other parts where water is available, people are seen wasting water in a way that in near future they will face the same challenge. Thus we should keep in our mind the renown saying ‘save water save life’ and should try not to waste water.
Water can be saved in many ways. There are 100 ways to conserve water. The simplest way to conserve water is rainwater harvesting. We can preserve the rainwater and those water can be used in our daily activities. Rainwater can also be used to drink after purifications. We should know how to save water in our daily life so that we will not face any scarcity of water in near future.
