Nature and her changing faces
Nature has many faces and many moods. On clear normal days Nature appears to be like an old familiar friend with the sun shining brightly and warmly. It appears as if there is no sadness in this world. During the night it assumes the role of a caring mother. It soothes the physical tiredness with sweet darkness, silence and sleep. Again in the morning it gently wakes us up with chirping of birds. Nature provides for all our physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
In the spring season Nature spreads for our eyes a colourful feast of flowers and natural beauty. We feel the blessings of warmth after a bone-chilling spell of harsh and depressing winter. In the rainy season Nature replenishes the exhausted water supplies of the earth; it brings relief to people, animals, and plants after the scorching summer.
Nature’s fury and might during an earthquake or thunderstorm, or flood makes us realize how powerful it is! It does not spare the ship or boat trapped in the sea-storm. The thunder accompanied by flashes of blood-curdling lightening often scares us to death. The tsunami wave of its anger does not spare anyone. Nature has many faces and many moods. We must respect nature and be her good children.
