Students are the future of our country. The future of our country depends on the moral values imparted to them in their student life. Moral lessons should be properly taught among students in schools and colleges. It is the duty and responsibility of the teacher to impart moral based values in order to develop moral qualities such as humility, truthfulness, honesty, courtesy, tolerance, sacrifice etc among the youth. It will help in developing positive social attitudes in new generation which prompt them to raise their voice against social evils. The harmonious coexistence of different ideologies in society requires respect for moral and ethical values. Value education inculcates these virtues in a systematic manner. Morality is essentially the knowledge of knowing what is right and what is wrong. Only with morality we can preserve our sense of humanity and empathy for others’ sorrows while at the same time we can retain our sense of altruism for others.
अंग्रेजी शिक्षण पद्धति का प्रारंभ : मनुष्य की सभी शक्तियों के सर्वतोन्मुखी विकास को ही शिक्षा कहते हैं। शिक्षा से मानवीय गरिमा और व्यक्तित्व का विकास होता है। नैतिक शिक्षा का अर्थ होता है कि बच्चे की शारीरिक, मानसिक और नैतिक शक्तियों का सर्वतोन्मुखी विकास हो। यह दुःख की बात है कि शिक्षा भारत में अंग्रेजी की विरासत है।
अंग्रेज भारत को अपना उपनिवेश मानते थे। अंग्रेजों ने भारतीयों को क्लर्क और मुंशी बनाने की चाल चली। उन्हें यह विश्वास था कि इस शिक्षा योजना से एक ऐसा शिक्षित वर्ग बनेगा जिसका रक्त और रंग तो भारतीय होगा लेकिन विचार, बोली और दिमाग अंग्रेजी होगा।
इस शिक्षा प्रणाली से भारतीय केवल बाबू ही बनकर रह गये। अंग्रेजों ने भारतीय लोगों को भारतीय संस्कृति से तो दूर ही रखा लेकिन अंग्रेजी संस्कृति को उनके अंदर गहराई से डाल दिया। यह दुःख की बात है की स्वतंत्रता प्राप्त होने के बाद भी अब तक अंग्रेजी भाषा का वर्चस्व बना हुआ है।
